I’m not a “computer person”. Can I still use this?
Absolutely. We worked directly with dog breeders while building this system to ensure that they were comfortable using it. If you can send an email, we promise that you’ll be able to update your Dog Breeder Website.
How is this different from other DIY website builders?
Our sites are built specifically for dog breeders. They are not generalized themes like the other guys offer. When you edit your site, you’ll see fields tailored to your business and your dogs, such as gender, date of birth, pedigree upload, dam, sire, gallery, etc. We’ve taken care of the design, site structure, hosting, security updates and more, so that you’ll just have to focus on your content.
How often can I make changes to my site?
As often as you’d like. You’ll be able to log in to your site at anytime to add, edit and remove pages, dogs, litters and puppies.
What level of support do you offer?
When you sign up, we’ll get in touch with you directly via email to answer any questions you have from the start. If you choose our optional Pro Setup plan, you’ll work directly with one of our professional web designers to launch your website. Otherewise, you’ll be free to build your site at your own pace with help from our library of easy-to-follow videos that will guide you through maintaining your new website. If you have questions beyond that, just ask! We’ll also take care of hosting and software updates so you can focus on the fun stuff.
How long does it take to get my site launched?
Most users can have their site up and running in just a few days, provided their content (text, photos, pedigree files, etc.) is ready to go. We recommend spending an hour or so watching our collection of tutorial videos, as these will take you through the entire process and make launching your site a breeze. If you want faster results, consider using our optional Pro Setup.
Does the site support tablets and smartphones?
Absolutely! We don’t believe in releasing anything that doesn’t look great and work beautifully on desktop computers, tablets and smartphones.
What technology is used to power my site?
Our system is hand-built using WordPress as a foundation. WordPress is the most popular content management system on the web, powering over 25% of the websites on the internet. We host the websites on a powerful and secure dedicated server.
Can I use my current website design with your system?
While we can use elements from your existing website (such as colors, logos, and photography), we do not support custom themes on our platform. Our focus is providing beautiful sites that can be ready to go as soon as you enter your content, and we can only deliver on that promise if we have some design limitations in place.
What if I leave? Do I get to take my site with me?
All websites are set up as part of our system, and as such, are not available for use outside of the Dog Breeder Website service. If you decide to cancel, we’ll be sad, but we’ll keep your site live through your last paid month and wish you well.
